Freshly baked, these chocolate chip cookies are a symphony of flavours and textures with its warm and chewy centre these cookies are the perfect blend of sweetness
Ingredients
120g unsalted butter
70g sugar
100g brown sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
125g flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
85g chocolate chips
Preparation
Step 1
In a mixing bowl, mix the butter, sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture, beating well until combined.
Step 2
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Then gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix
Step 3
Then fold in the chocolate chips. and create rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them a few inches apart
Step 4
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. The center may still look slightly undercooked, but they will continue to set as they cool.
